Would you rather risk prison than stay in lockdown?
Baroness Altman has warned that UK citizens over 70 could revolt if they are forced to remain in lockdown after restrictions are officially lifted.
Speaking to talkRADIO's Ian Collins, the former pensions minister said that to do so would be a form of discrimination.
"We don't normally allow discrimination in our country; it's meant to be illegal. There are fundamental freedoms we're supposed to have in this country; the freedom to go about your daily life, to go out of your house."
It comes after former government advisor Joan Bakewell claimed the over-70s were being singled-out as a medically vulnerable group during the pandemic.
Baroness Altman continued: "Let's say there was a blanket ban on BAME people leaving their homes. There would be outrage."
